Join us Thursday, January 20th from 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM CST on Zoom for JEC’s first Women in Business Initiative event to hear from our Inaugural Speaker, Elizabeth Betten from Madison Dearborn Partners.

The Women in Business initiative aims to highlight successful women in the business world. Learning about their experiences will help to empower, educate, and mentor young high school students interested in business. This inaugural event will feature Elizabeth Betten, a managing director at Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity investment firm. Ms. Betten will share what she does at Madison Dearborn Partners, talk about her path to her current job, the challenges and benefits of being a woman in the business world, and offer advice to those interested in a career in business. This event will also include a moderated Q&A session.

Elizabeth Betten, a managing director at Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP), focuses on investments in the health care industry. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of APM, Benefytt Technologies, Option Care Health, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPCH) and Solis Mammography, formerly served on the Board of Directors of Ikaria and was actively involved with Sirona Dental Systems. Elizabeth joined MDP in 2004 as an associate and re-joined after business school in 2008. Prior to MDP, she worked in investment banking in the health care group at J.P. Morgan. Elizabeth also serves on the board of the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute of the Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She is a Trustee of The Civic Federation and is also a member of The Chicago Network. Elizabeth holds an AB from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
